Hello, my name is Johnny and it's a pleasure for me to introduce myself! I was born in Ireland and have spent most of my life living between Dublin, London and New York. In terms of my education, I studied Russian and Classics at Trinity College, Dublin and then did a post-graduate degree in film at New York University. My first love is filmmaking and my second is Russian, so I have lived in Moscow for 3 years splitting my time between teaching English and developing film scripts. However, I first came to Moscow as a student in 1993. I'm here 15 years later, and I still love the place! I have taught English for over 8 years, both in Ireland and now in Moscow and I have a certificate in TEFL from the internationally recognised ACELS advisory council. I speak French, Russian and Irish fluently and I have taught everyone from young children aged 6 to top CEO's and even an ambassador! Beyond English language teaching, I have wide and varied experience working in business and the media. I used to be a journalist and I also ran my own film production company. Among my portfolio of work are six short films and one feature film. I love teaching business leaders and people working in the media. I'm particularly interested in people who need to improve their communication skills for their work. My method involves researching your particular area of expertise and liaising closely with you to improve your grammar and increase your vocabulary. I love the challenge of helping Russians to work in the international sphere.
